The Ohio State Buckeyes are loaded with talent this season, with two stars in the backfield who will share duties throughout the year.
Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson will be used as running backs.
After playing the first two years of his college career at Ole Miss, Judkins transferred to Ohio State and will now play a major role in helping the Buckeyes compete for the national championship.
During the 2023 season with Ole Miss, Judkins carried the football 237 times for 1,052 yards and 15 touchdowns. In 2022, he rushed for 1,476 yards and 16 touchdowns on 251 carries.
While he is fully focused on helping the Buckeyes win a championship, Judkins is also playing for his bright NFL future.
NFL Draft Buzz took a look at Judkins and his future prospects. They made a very bold statement about the young star running back, stating that he has the potential to become a “cornerstone player.”
“As professional sports continue to value versatile, dynamic running backs, Judkins stands out as a promising player who can contribute immediately while also having the potential to become a cornerstone.”
They also listed some comparisons for Judkins.
Kendre Miller, Zach Chaarbonnet and Rachaad White have all been compared similarly. All three players are young running backs in the NFL with great potential.
RotoWire has put forward some projections for Judkins in 2024. They expect him to rush for 1,030 yards and 12 touchdowns on 169 carries.
Achieving those goals while splitting time with Henderson would be a huge win for Judkins, taking a big step toward achieving his NFL dreams.
Still, it will be interesting to see how the 2024 college football season plays out for Judkins. Ohio State needs him to live up to expectations and have a great year.
