Four Ohio State players will have an additional title before the 2024 college football season.
Safety Caleb Downs, guard Donovan Jackson, wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and cornerback Denzel Burke were all named first-team All-Americans by the Associated Press in the 2024 preseason. Ohio State has the most first-team All-Americans of any program in the sport.
Of the eight Big Ten first-team honorees, four are Ohio State players, along with Michigan tight end Colston Loveland, Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, Iowa linebacker Jay Higgins and Michigan cornerback Will Johnson.
Defensive tackle Tyleik Williams and running back TreVeyon Henderson were each selected to the All-American second team.
Ohio State has more preseason All-American honors than any other program.
Ohio State opens the 2024 season at home against Akron. August 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Ohio Stadium.
