THIS IS THE SPORTS SPECTRUM PODCAST
WITH JASON ROMANO AND TREVEYON HENDERSON

TreVeyon Henderson is a running back entering his final season at Ohio State with the Buckeyes among the top favorites for a national title. He made an immediate impact as a freshman, leading the team in the running game with 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns, but injuries affected his 2022 season. He returned in 2023 and again led the Buckeyes in the running game, rushing for 926 yards and 11 TDs in 10 games played.

Henderson was a star at the high school level in Hopewell, Virginia, where he was named the state’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year in 2019 after rushing for more than 4,000 yards and 50 touchdowns. Most considered him a five-star prospect and 247 Sports ranked him as the best running back in the country.

Today on the podcast, TreVeyon Henderson talks about the false idols he chased, like football and money, and how they left him empty. He emphasizes the importance of surrounding himself with fellow believers and mentors who have helped him grow in his faith. Henderson also shares his decision to return to college football for his senior year instead of declaring for the NFL Draft because he trusts that God has a higher plan for him. Henderson expresses his desire to use his platform to lead others to Christ and give God all the glory.
