Ohio Turnpike suspends late fees and collections for customers who have received bills

BEREA, Ohio (August 27, 2024) – The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission Customer Service Center is experiencing an increased volume of calls following the delivery of unpaid toll bills.

Due to increased call volume, the Ohio Turnpike has suspended all Ohio BMV late fees, collections, and registration holds.

Customers who receive a bill from the Ohio Turnpike and wish to discuss it with a customer service representative are encouraged to go to www.ezpassoh.com, click on “Contact Us” and submit the online form.

A customer service representative will respond via email or phone as soon as possible.

How to avoid receiving an unpaid toll bill

Customers without E-ZPass should:

– Follow the signs above you.

– Drive in both lanes of the toll booth.

– Stop at the entrance to take a toll card.

– Pay the toll upon exit with cash or credit card.

To pay a toll online, visit www.ezpassoh.com. (A toll ticket is required.)

Customers with an E-ZPass should

– Properly install the E-ZPass transponder on the windshield. (Numerous toll booths to detect an E-ZPass have been added to the new open road tolling system, so waving an E-ZPass with your hand is ineffective and unsafe.)

– Keep your online account up to date, including vehicle registration information, a valid credit card, and complete contact information and email address.

To pay a toll online, visit www.ezpassoh.com or call customer service at 440.971.2222.
