Governor Mike DeWine announced that the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is currently distributing 1.4 million copies of the new State of Ohio map, which highlights the tourism brand “Ohio, the Heart of It All.”
“Our map of the state is a gateway to all that Ohio has to offer,” said Governor DeWine. “Our new map shows more than just our roads; it’s a tool to showcase all that we have to offer in Ohio, the heart of it all!”
Unveiled at the 2024 Ohio State Fair, the new Ohio State Map highlights the latest road changes, updated routes and points of interest to help travelers easily navigate Ohio. Designed for both locals and tourists, the map provides essential information on highways, back roads and notable destinations.

Information for the Ohio State Highway Patrol, information about Ohio’s distracted driving law, and reminders for road workers to give way and slow down.
The public can pick up a free copy of the map at any of the state’s rest areas or order one on the ODOT website.
“Online navigation services can go offline. Cell reception can drop out. It’s always smart to have a printed backup in the car,” said ODOT Director Jack Marchbanks. “Whether you’re exploring one of our state’s beautiful parks or attractions with your family, planning a business trip, or need to plot the best route from point A to point B, the new Ohio State Map will get you there.”
