OLAPLEX leave-in treatment. Our honest verdict.

Mamamia’s Tried and Tested series is your round-up of the latest in beauty, health and wellbeing. You’ll find no #sponsored content here, just honest, relatable and independent advice. This week Mamamia’s Beauty Editor tests Olaplex’s new No. 5 Leave-In Conditioner.

If there is one thing I am really good at, it is damaging my hair. I have a lot of it – and I often resort to the blow dryer and numerous heat tools to tame the fluffiness and frizz of my unruly curls (before I back inlike the crazy fool that I am).

I use heat protectant religiously, but I’m very reluctant to go to the hairdresser. This means my hair is drier than a cat’s tongue and my split ends are cute little baby split ends and their split ends are split ends…

Watch: You know what else I tried before? Lubricant. On my face. Post continues below.

That’s why I’m a huge fan of any kind of hair treatment that promises hydrated, shiny, healthy-looking hair. And there are a whole lot of them out there right now. (In fact, I recently tried this viral $21 gloss and absolutely loved it).

So when something with the words “care” or “repair” on it crosses my desk, I quickly introduce myself and smear the product thickly on my mop.
