OnePlus is quite a popular brand in India and many people like using their phones. But this time, OnePlus is not in the news because of a new launch. Many people who have been using OnePlus smartphones have been facing the bricking issue. This is a severe problem that has been persisting for the past few days. This mostly affects those who are using older flagship variants like the OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 9.

Users using the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 9 are now having to deal with dead motherboards. Many users reported that their phones suddenly stopped responding, the screens went black and there was no power. Many devices have become unusable due to this issue.

Several users reported that their phones were lagging, overheating, and then shutting down. Some experienced phone freezes and stops responding after a software update. The devices also failed to charge. Even when they tried performing a hard reset and other troubleshooting methods, their devices remained unresponsive.

When they went to the service center, they were charged a hefty repair fee. In one such case, the service center estimated repair cost of Rs 42,000. This repair cost has now exceeded the price of the actual device. And this incident has happened to many people now. OnePlus has not fixed this issue yet, but customer dissatisfaction with the company is growing.

This is the second hardware issue on OnePlus phones that has emerged recently, although it is not a new problem. Users of the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6 had also reported issues with faulty motherboards in the past. The high repair cost is another major problem. Service centers charge up to Rs 42,000 to repair older OnePlus flagship phones, which are now worth less than the repair cost.

People are demanding replacement or free repair for their affected devices. Moreover, they expect a quick response from the company to their concerns. Let’s see how OnePlus is trying to resolve this issue.
