Sometimes a haircut can mean a psychological change – a fundamental change. In Olivia’s case, she lets go of the past and at least six inches of golden blonde hair.
She has experimented with her hair before. She memorably tried fiery red hair, but blonde locks suit her better. They match Olivia’s natural hair color. As a blonde, Olivia is a classic beauty. She is a naturally gorgeous woman, and when she is blonde, her striking features definitely stand out. Since she apparently hasn’t had any treatment, Olivia looks very different from many reality stars. She has left her face alone, and that’s a good thing, because It is exceptional without changes such as lip injections. She doesn’t need them. What Olivia needs is freedom, and she finds that after ending her marriage.

OliviaShe was never a shy woman. If she has to fight, she does. Sometimes she likes to argue with other people. When it comes to her former in-laws, however, she has been very unlucky. Ethan Plath’s parents were crazy and disapproving, to say the least. Few women would remain calm when confronted with Kim Plath’s obvious attempts to manipulate situations. Barry Plath has been memorably described as the “Neck that turns Barry’s head” so he wasn’t much help. In the post above, Olivia chatted about her new life and showed off her sleek and stylish bob haircut.
Olivia has made big changes to build the life she wants. She has pushed through. Olivia already has a job she loves – she is a wedding photographer. She is not financially dependent on a man. It hasn’t been easy for Olivia to move on from the past, but she is able to change and adapt to new realities. She is adventurous enough to turn around – in fact, she may have been too wild for Ethan. Olivia is not out of control at all, but she dreams of new and exciting experiences, despite a purse stuffed with “grandma” stuff like books and snacks. Olivia rejected these fundamentalist Christian beliefs. There is nothing wrong with people questioning beliefs and then finding their own. Some people are comfortable with the religions they grew up with. Others prefer to find other paths. Whether someone is religious or atheist, basic human decency is what separates the good from the bad.
She is this and that – not always just one person. Olivia has many interests, lots of drive and little patience for people who try to hold her back. Ethan wasn’t the right man for her. She recognized that and ended the relationship – that shows wisdom and maturity. The best way to ease Ethan’s pain is to remove herself from his life so he can heal. In the current season, she tries to do that, but he doesn’t make it easy for her.

Ethan hasn’t accepted the truth yet – he’s still living in the past. Change is harder for him and that’s another reason why they’re not a good fit. She will always change and he will mostly stay the same. He needs a partner who wants a simpler life.

In the first image of the gallery above, Olivia is getting closer to her new crush. She’s happy with him, but doesn’t want to give away too much information about him. That may or may not change, as she knows firsthand that a high-profile relationship is hard to maintain. When the whole world is wondering about a romance, the pressure is way too much. However, she’s clearly excited to spend time with a new partner.
The haircut and the teasing with her new boyfriend are signs that Olivia is indeed in the midst of a vendetta. But these clues can be deceptive. Olivia might hate her in-laws – sometimes she even dislikes Ethan. He wants to reconcile, she doesn’t – she just wants the divorce papers signed.
It is possible that the haircut is meant to tell the Plaths that she is a different woman now – not the Olivia they knew, and perhaps it is as simple as that. Olivia always fought with the Plaths for freedom – now, away from them, the Welcome to Plathville Star really has it. That’s progress.
