One of my favorite iPhone apps finally comes to Android

Good news for Android users! One of the best iOS apps of this year is finally coming to Android.

The app in question is Arc Search. Developed by the same company that developed the Arc Browser web browser for Mac and Windows, Arc Search is a mobile browser that puts a lot of emphasis on straightforward, simple browsing – with a good dash of AI on top.

Since its launch in January, Arc Search has only been available for iPhone, but it looks like that’s about to change. On Threads, the official Arc account recently posted that “Arc Search is coming soon to Android.” The post also includes a screen capture of the Arc Search app running on an Android phone.

Although there are already many web browsers for Android, Arc Search is special. I’ve been using it on my iPhone for a few months now and it’s quickly become my favorite browser. Why? Because searching with it is simply wonderful.

When you enter a new search query in Arc Search, you can perform a normal Google search or click the Search for me button. If you do the latter, Arc Search takes your search, analyzes numerous web pages, and then creates a personalized web page with a detailed answer to your question, including helpful bullet points, related photos, and source links showing where the information came from. In my experience, this is the best way to quickly find the answer to virtually any question that pops into your head throughout the day.

You can still use Arc Search like a regular web browser, but the “Browse for Me” feature really sets it apart. It also has excellent voice search functionality, including a “Raise to Call Arc” mode that lets you hold your phone to your ear and talk to Arc Search as if it were a person.

While Arc Search isn’t the most customizable or feature-rich web browser, it is one of the most efficient, and that’s why I love using it so much. It’s become one of the main reasons I prefer the iPhone over another Android phone, so it’s music to my ears that the Android app will be available soon.

The disadvantage is that we do not know When The Android app is launching, but the team’s thread post indicates that the wait time shouldn’t be too long.
