OnePlus Nord 4 is not easy to repair at all: Video

The OnePlus Nord 4 doesn’t seem to be easy to repair. A popular YouTube teardown channel, PBKReviews, took the OnePlus Nord 4 apart and gave the phone a rather low repair rating.

The OnePlus Nord 4 is not exactly easy to repair

The phone received a repair rating of 4 out of 10. This is obviously very low because the higher the number the better. However, keep in mind that this phone is made of metal.

Why is this important? Well, since the phone is metal-encased, it’s pretty difficult to break into. Even if you don’t break into the phone through the small glass panel at the top of the back of the phone, this is a good solution.

This is no surprise though. Metal-encased devices are usually difficult to open. However, once you’ve mastered this step, it becomes easier.

The source also noted that the screen was the most difficult to replace. This area received a rating of 0.5/2. The internal design and organization actually received the same rating.

The phone received a score of 1/2 for parts availability, ease of battery replacement, and ease of replacing other miscellaneous parts. All of this led to a final repair rating of 4/10.

A teardown video is now available to watch

The teardown video itself is about 10 minutes long. It’s embedded below the article if you want to watch it. It’s very detailed and if you have any questions about disassembling this phone, this video will probably answer them.

The OnePlus Nord 4 is the company’s brand new phone. This thing launched in mid-July and surprised some people with its metal construction. You don’t see metal-clad phones lately.

This is a mid-range smartphone, by the way, as it is part of the company’s ‘Nord’ range. However, it has some nice specs and looks pretty unique too.
