If you like Sol de Janeiro’s body mists, you’ll love this new addition to Ouai’s best-selling haircare range. St. Barts Hair and Body Mist (£26, Lookfantastic.com) is an Aperol Spritz in a bottle and will leave your locks smelling summery for hours.
The brand’s Detox Shampoo (£28, Lookfantastic.com) is one of my absolute favourite shampoos thanks to its ability to rid my scalp and roots of oily build-up, so I had high hopes for Ouai’s new fragrance.
As much as I love the Sol de Janeiro sprays (from OG 62 to the limited edition scent 87, there will be a permanent place in my beauty collection), my only criticism has always been their longevity on the skin. So I wanted to find out if Ouai’s spray could exceed my high expectations of Sol de Janeiro.
This is how I tested
I applied the hair and body spray first thing before starting my day, without any other perfumes, hair sprays or body moisturizers. I paid attention to the immediate scent when spraying, but also how I smelled throughout the day and if my skin and hair changed. I also considered the pros and cons of the packaging and whether the spray affected the texture of my hair.
