A 72-year-old Wayne resident was arrested after allegedly assaulting an employee at a local doctor’s office.

According to a statement from Wayne Police, officers responded to a 911 call on the afternoon of August 12 after a female staff member reported that she had been assaulted by a male patient.

The visibly shaken woman told police that the patient suddenly groped her while she was alone in the room and then forcibly grabbed her breasts and kissed her.

When she asked him to stop, the man told her to be quiet and then left the office.

The employee immediately informed her colleagues, who then called the police.

She later gave a video statement to investigators at Wayne Police Headquarters, detailing the incident and providing the suspect’s identification. A background check revealed that the suspect had been previously arrested for a similar offense.

According to the Wayne Police Department, detectives arrested the suspect, Mr. Mujic Fehim, that evening at his Wayne residence.

Fehim was charged with sexual abuse and taken to the Passaic County Jail to await his detention hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are calling on any witnesses to come forward.
