The Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation is proud to announce that Patty and Wayne Judge have received the 2024 George and Barbara Bush Little League Parents of the Year award. Patty and Wayne are the parents of the ALL RISE founder, captain and New York Yankees outfielder. The award was presented by Little League International at the 2024 MLB Little League Classic on August 18, 2024 in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
“One of our most prestigious awards, the George and Barbara Bush Little League Parents of the Year award, represents the dedicated parents who make the Little League program possible each year, and we can’t think of any parents more deserving of this year’s award than Patty and Wayne Judge,” said Little League President and CEO Stephen D. Keener. “As an organization, our mission is to teach life lessons that build strong individuals and communities through the power of youth baseball and softball. Since becoming parents to Aaron Judge, Patty and Wayne have lived that mission not only in his upbringing, but in the inspiring work they continue to do in communities around the world.”
Aaron grew up in Linden in California’s Central Valley. Wayne and Patty were both teachers and spent many years at the local Linden Little League baseball fields supporting Aaron in sports, studies and life lessons. Throughout Aaron’s life as a Little League player, as an athlete at Linden High and California State University Fresno, and then as a shining star of the MLB, Wayne and Patty were very much involved in Aaron’s life. Their influence has guided him throughout his career. Aaron, who has always been respectful and loving of his parents, has spoken in past interviews about his parents’ influence on him. “I know I wouldn’t be a New York Yankee without my mom” and “my dad was always my hero, a guy I looked up to.” Patty and Wayne are deserving of this award and the ALL RISE Foundation is proud to have their leadership to encourage their success.
Aaron Judge and the ALL RISE Foundation donated copies of the book “Hey Dad! Let’s Have a Catch” with branded stickers featuring a message from Aaron, personalized bookmarks featuring Aaron’s Little League squad, and ALL RISE #just5minutes bracelets to all 2024 Little League Baseball World Series participants.
Aaron co-founded the Aaron Judge ALL RISE Foundation with Patty in 2018. As Executive Director and President, Patty continues to develop and lead students through programs and initiatives such as the Aspiring Leaders program, which gives elementary through high school students the opportunity to learn, grow, and hone their leadership skills. Patty always encourages ALL RISE team members to make a meaningful impact on students through book clubs, master classes, social media responsibility lessons, pro camps and character building workshops, and ALL RISE Mini Grants. Through these efforts, Patty continues to lead the Foundation team to fulfill its mission: ALL RISE will inspire children and youth to become responsible citizens by participating in activities that encourage them to achieve unlimited possibilities.
