LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne appeared in a daring new look at the Fanatics Fest in New York over the weekend.
Dunne, who is dating rookie pitching phenom Paul Skenes of the Pittsburgh Pirates, surprised fans by showing up to the event at the Javits Center dressed as her boyfriend, complete with his MLB uniform and trademark mustache. She even threw a pitch with an acrobatic finish to reveal her true identity.

Dunne, who attended Fanatics Fest to participate in an “Athletes and Icons” panel alongside Alix Earle and Paige Spiranac, also stopped by the event’s card show. There, she found a pair of Skenes’ rookie cards from Topps that she wanted to purchase, but was shocked to learn of the inflated prices ($2,400 and $750, respectively).
In her “undercover” disguise of a black hoodie, baseball cap and sunglasses, Dunne negotiated hard. To get the price of the cards down, she teased, “But he’s just a pitcher!” Eventually, she and the seller agreed on a price of $2,450 for both cards – a real bargain at about a 22% discount.
Skenes and Dunne had a whirlwind of success last year. Skenes led the LSU baseball team to the 2023 national championship and was the Pirates’ No. 1 pick in the MLB draft that year. While Dunne continued to capitalize on NIL and her social media fame, she was part of the LSU gymnastics team that won a national championship in 2024.
Since his MLB debut in May, Skenes has lived up to all the hype surrounding his name, even earning the National League starting lineup for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game. He and Dunne appeared together on the All-Star red carpet in Arlington, Texas, last month, where Dunne had high praise for him.
“My brain can’t even process how hard he throws,” Dunne said in an interview with MLB Network on the red carpet. “It’s incredible and so much fun to watch. He’s a great baseball player, but an even better person.”
Well, that’s okay. Maybe Skenes isn’t “just a pitcher” after all.
