Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket to be released for mobile devices in October

Pokémon TCG Pocket Trailer | Pre-register now

Soon you will be able to open Pokémon card packs on your phone. Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket The release is scheduled for October 30th for Android and iOS. You can pre-register now.

Bag is a collaboration with Creatures Inc. that was announced in February during The Pokémon Company’s Pokémon Presents presentation along with a teaser for Pokémon Legends: ZA. The app gives you two booster packs each day that you can open with a swipe of your finger. A lot of effort went into this animation to make you feel like you’re actually opening a pack and scanning your cards. Many of the cards are also “immersive cards” that take the background art and expand it into more 3D spaces. You can collect some popular cards as well as ones that are exclusive to the app. And you can view them all in a virtual folder or on a scoreboard.

Bag is said to include in-app purchases, which are presumably additional boosters, but we have not seen what these will look like or how much they will cost.

The Pokémon Company has previously attempted to bring the card game to mobile devices. Pokémon Trading Card Game Live was a renaming of Pokémon TCG Onlinethe long-standing digital version of the card game. As with Bag, TCG Live allows you to collect card packs, but also offers more intense combat mechanics. Bag is a simplified, streamlined experience that’s more geared toward people who collect cards and maybe want to play a bit on their own or with others.

Bag is the app for people who prefer to open the packs and put the cards in folders instead of learning how to play the game.
