Prices for travel cards in Nottingham expected to rise

Following a six-monthly price review, the cost of some train tickets in Nottingham will increase on Sundays.

The prices of the three-month, six-month and 12-month Robin Hood adult season tickets, which offer unlimited travel on most buses, trams and trains within the networkwill be increased, as will the U19 day ticket.

However, the prices for the adult day ticket, the flexible day ticket and the U19, student and season tickets 19-21 remain the same.

Nottingham City Council said Prices had risen after the operators increased their prices.

The price of the three-month adult season ticket will be reduced from £250 to £256, the six-month ticket will increase by £11 to £485 and the 12-month ticket will cost £845 instead of £830.

The day ticket for under 19s now costs £4.20 instead of £4.10.

A city council spokeswoman said season ticket prices had risen because operators had raised their prices due to increased wages and fuel prices.

The Council said prices last changed at the end of March 2024 and rose by an average of 3.5 percent for all products.

This time, the price increase affected fewer products and was between 1.7% and 2.3%.
