PS Plus: FREE PS4 and PS5 games in September 2024 – Time, date, leaks and predictions | Gaming | Entertainment

PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down the minutes until Sony reveals the next wave of PS Plus Essentials for September 2024. The free PS4 and PS5 games will be officially revealed on the afternoon of August 28 at 4:30pm BST UK time. The games will be available to download and play less than a week later, on the morning of September 3. The new games will replace the existing offering, which consists of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach and Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights. If you haven’t already, then be sure to grab the above games for free before next week or you risk missing out. Daily Express will keep this article updated with the full list of new games as they are announced, as well as any early leaks and speculation.

As for the September line-up, one game has already been announced ahead of its full reveal this week.

Harry Potter Quidditch Champions will be available to PS Plus Essential subscribers from September 3 to October 1.

Quidditch Champions can be played alone or with friends in online multiplayer, and offers fans the opportunity to play in a variety of positions including Chaser, Seeker, Keeper and Beater.

According to the development team, the game features a selection of legendary Quidditch arenas as well as “maps that reveal never-before-seen areas of the wizarding world.”

Although the game features popular characters from the Harry Potter book and film series, it looks like there will be plenty of customization options.

The game will be available for full price from October 1st, so it might be worth taking out a monthly subscription just to see if this is your type of gamer.

The other two games remain a mystery, although fans posting on Reddit think they have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

The clear favorite for PS Plus is third-person action game Atomic Heart, which is leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of August. This has led to speculation that it will be coming to PlayStation Plus in September.

Despite mediocre reviews at launch, Atomic Heart has achieved something of a cult following and can now boast a “Very Positive” rating on Steam.

Other games included in the prediction list include Gris, Sonic Frontiers, Dead Space, WWE 2K24, Forspoken, and Suicide Squad.

There is also the first-person puzzle game Viewfinder as well as Like a Dragon Ishin, Far Cry 6, Resident Evil Village, numerous LEGO games, Little Nightmares 2 and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2.
