Ben Affleck has reportedly lost contact with Jennifer Lopez’s two children, although the singer continues to try to spend time with his children even amid the divorce.
An insider told People Sunday that Affleck has had “no contact” with Lopez’s 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, although she is “still close” with the actor’s three children – Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12 – and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
“The fact that he hasn’t seen her kids in a long time – it’s like he’s gone, but she’s especially close to his kids,” the source said, referring to J.Lo’s various outings with her stepchildren over the summer.
The insider added that the “Let’s Get Loud” singer has even publicly praised Affleck in the past for being a good father.
“(Jennifer) went out and told the world what a great father he was,” the source told the outlet, noting that the “Argo” actor “is very close to his three children.”
According to the insider, Lopez also maintains a close relationship with the children her ex-husband Marc Anthony had before their marriage.
“She keeps in touch with the children and is a good mother,” they said.
Representatives for Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Throughout the summer, Lopez was seen hanging out with Affleck’s children, despite their marital problems.
“Just because she’s not with Ben doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about his kids,” a source told People earlier this month.
In July, Violet joined the “Marry Me” star in the Hamptons, weeks before she began her freshman year at Yale University.
The stepmother-stepdaughter duo looked affectionate as they grabbed an ice cream and walked with their arms around each other.
Earlier this month, the “Selena” star also took Samuel on a shopping spree before returning the teenager to the Oscar winner’s rental home in Brentwood, California.
More than a week later, Lopez filed for divorce from the “Gone Girl” actor on August 20, setting the separation date as April 26.
The estranged couple secretly married in Las Vegas in July 2022 and held a larger ceremony with their loved ones in Georgia a month later.
After J.Lo filed for divorce, a source told Page Six that both her and Affleck’s children were ready to move on from the separation: “His children are coping well, as are hers.”
During the breakup, the “Town” star has been spending a lot of time with his children lately, including dropping Violet off at Yale with Garner and enjoying a movie night with Seraphina in Marina Del Rey, California.
