Richard Talman’s wife: Is the expert from The Repair Shop married? | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

The Repair Shop star Richard Talman continues to work as the legendary barn’s goldsmith, and it’s no surprise that fans are curious to learn more about his life away from the TV.

Jewellery expert Richard Talman is back with The Repair Shop tonight, Wednesday 28 August at 8pm on BBC One, presenting another emotional job that will tug at the heartstrings.

The goldsmith meets mother-daughter duo Halina and Lesley, who bring with them a broken silver ring that Halina’s mother received in Warsaw during World War II as a thank you for “risking her life to distribute food to families trapped in the Jewish ghetto.”

So how will Richard go about carefully breathing new life into the ring, which is so valuable?

Is The Repair Shop star Richard Talman married?

The Repair Shop star Richard Talman, 45, is married to a woman named Jenny, who used to work as a social worker.

It is not known how long they have been together or how they met, as Richard’s better half prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

However, it is known that the couple lives in Sussex with their two young daughters Emily and Alice.

The young people were actually the inspiration for the name of Richard’s jewelry brand, combining their two names to create Emilice.

He explained: “I just wanted something that was unique.

“And something they could potentially continue one day. Considering they are now seven and five years old, they may want to join in one day.”

While few details have been revealed about Jenny, Richard has previously spoken about her involvement in his entry into The Repair Shop in 2018.

He explained that when he got the call from the BBC producers, he almost didn’t take the job because he thought it was a prank.

Richard explained: “There was a reply message on my landline at the workshop saying, ‘I’m a researcher for a show called The Repair Shop and we were wondering if you would be interested in coming along and fixing some gems on TV.’

“I wanted to press delete because I assumed it was a prank, but my wife googled the phone number and it came up as a production company, so I called her back!”

The Repair Shop is available to watch on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
