Ruth Langsford presents her new look with “real” hair without extensions

Ruth Langsford was showered with compliments after revealing a new hairstyle in a video shared this week. The presenter, 64, took to Instagram on Wednesday, August 14, to post a photo of her recent visit to Leo Bancroft Salon in Weybridge.

The Loose Women panellist posted a video of herself in the salon, initially without hair extensions before getting new ones. In the clip and in the post’s caption, she revealed that she opted for longer extensions than usual, and showed off the results at the end of the video.

Ruth, who announced her split from husband Eamonn Holmes earlier this year, said in the video: “Hi! So I’m here with Lauren, getting my extensions redone. We’ve taken them all out – the old ones. This is my hair, OK. So fine, fine (and) quite thin at the end. That’s what happens with the menopause. Not bad at the top, but it gets very thin at the ends. So we’re going to add more today.”

In the caption of the post, Ruth wrote: “Time for extensions again! (Leo Bancroft) Salon. Decided to leave them a little longer this time (lots of you told me to do that last time!). Fitted by the lovely Lauren (you can also book Kristen), cut and styled by Leo. I’m not good at this ‘bendy wave’ stuff so not sure I’ll leave them that long but I’ll give it a go. Thanks (Leo Bancroft), great to update again.”

The post has received over 5,000 likes and fans flooded the comments to express their admiration for the haircut. One said: “The cut suits you really well!” and “You look amazing. So much softer,” reports the Mirror. Other fans chimed in with praise such as: “Love it Ruth, you look fabulous,” “Gorgeous. I love this style,” and “Love the longer length Ruth. Really pretty.”

Meanwhile, another admirer exclaimed: “Wow, you look amazing.” The comments continued with statements such as: “Love it. A change in style never hurts” and “Really nice. Good to have a change of pace.” A playful dig from a follower read: “Love it Ruth. A new you.” Subscribe to our newsletter to receive the latest TV and showbiz news.
