Salma Hayek presents a timeless figure and flowing hair in new post

Salma Hayek is not only being recognized for her incredible work, but also for her dedication to her fit and healthy body and health, which many of her fans look up to. “Bad hair day or free hair day? 💨🌊 Día de cabello rebelde o cabello libre? 💨🌊 #badhairday #freehair,” she captioned Instagram while her hair blew in the wind on a boat. Spending time outside and on the water is something that is clearly important to Hayek, but what else does she do to stay mentally and physically healthy? Here’s what we were able to find out!

She told People that her busy schedule doesn’t always allow time for the gym. “I don’t have time to work out, I work,” she said. “I’ve had some 20-hour days.” She goes on to say that she learned a thing or two in London. “I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way that keeps the muscles engaged all day long. Even brushing your teeth uses the muscles.”

She practices a special type of yoga that is meant to be continuous. “It’s restorative yoga,” says Hayek of what she learned from the woman in London. “She taught me to strengthen my muscles without tensing them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you are aware of your body, you will be surprised by the effect that can have.”

As can be seen in her Instagram video of her playing in the waves, captioned, “Happy World Oceans Day! 🌊💙 ¡Feliz Día Mundial de los Océanos,” swimming is an effective workout. Similar to playing in the waves, she enjoys diving and keeping the ocean clean, as can be seen in this video on Instagram, captioned, “Tomorrow is World Oceans Day, let’s be inspired to protect our oceans, at least from the trash. 🌊 🗑️ #worldoceansday Mañana is World Oceans Day, inspire us to protect our oceans, at least from the trash. 🌊 🗑️.”

As seen on Instagram with the caption, “FridayMood 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️,” she enjoys moving to get her body moving and her mood uplifted. According to Better Health, “dancing can be a way for people of all ages, shapes, and sizes to stay fit. It has a wide range of physical and mental benefits, including improved heart and lung health, increased muscle strength, endurance, and motor fitness, weight management, improved balance and spatial awareness, improved mental function,” and more.

On Instagram, she posted, “I found a chef from the neighboring city of La Paz, Baja California. Lucky me🍀 Viva Veracruz! I found a chef from Minatitlán, 30 minutes from Coatzacoalcos, La Paz, Baja California. That was a stroke of luck 🍀#soloveracruzesbello arriba los jarochos!!!!!” she posts while enjoying delicious dishes, like this other post captioned “#tacotuesday.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, “The most common reason people endorse cheat days is psychological. Some find that the prospect of indulging helps them stay disciplined the rest of the time — and there’s some research suggesting that ‘planned hedonistic deviations’ can really help us stay on track.”
