The Samuel Dixon Family Health Center has appointed its Board of Directors for 2024-25. The mission of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center is to improve wellness through outpatient health services and programs, health education, community resources and referrals.
Santa Clarita Mayor pro tempore Bill Miranda presided over the board’s inauguration ceremony.

Samuel Dixon Family Health Center has three primary health centers in the Santa Clarita Valley: Val Verde Health Center, Canyon Country Health Center and Newhall Health Center.
The centers provide immunizations and vaccinations, physical examinations, screening and diagnostic tests, infant care, prevention programs, family planning, women’s health services, prenatal services, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and more.
It also operates two branch offices at the College of the Canyons and the California Institute of the Arts.
The goal of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center is to ensure that “all of our friends and neighbors have access to affordable, high-quality primary care. We make a special effort to serve the uninsured and underinsured residents of the Santa Clarita Valley.”
The Samuel Dixon Family Health Center sees over 11,000 patients annually, with all fees based on the individual’s ability to pay.
