Secret service allegedly entered hair salon to use toilet

The US Secret Service broke into the Four One Three Salon on Saturday during Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

Agency employees used the restroom in Alicia Powers’ salon, ate her mints, and left the salon without cleaning or locking the restroom. The Berkshire Eagle reported.

But the unauthorized entry onto the premises did not end there.

“Someone dressed all in black” ordered several people to come in and use the salon’s restroom, Powers reported hearing in messages from paramedics.

“I’m the type of person who would have provided them with coffee and doughnuts if they had asked me for permission,” Powers remarked after the break-in.

Before the break-in, an agency employee reportedly “taped over a security camera on the back porch” and failed to clean up his backlog.

Powers said she received an apology from the agency’s Boston office. She reported that the agency offered to cover the cost of cleaning the salon, the damage caused by the break-in and the bill for the alarm system “because it was ringing so long.”

“I was pleased with his apology. It’s a small piece of responsibility. Again, I didn’t want to do anything,” Powers said.

Powers reports that despite the apology, he still feels “hurt, disrespected and a little angry.”
