Several stores in Tucker shopping center robbed

TUCKER, Georgia (Atlanta News First) – Burglaries at several stores at the Hugh Howell Marketplace in Tucker occurred early Thursday morning.

At least one of the thefts was caught on camera.

Surveillance video shows a window being smashed at Magical Waxing. Two masked suspects then unlock the door and take a cash register and a touchscreen.

An employee there told Atlanta News First that their home was burgled in exactly the same way last year.

According to our news partners at Decaturish, it happened before 5 a.m. Thursday.

Employees at the Buffalo Wild Wings Go next door and Jersey Mike’s also said their establishments had been broken into. They said this had happened in the past.

The door to the First Guard is still boarded up.

Employees at First Watch, Jersey Mikes and Buffalo Wild Wings Go could not confirm what exactly was stolen.

The Magical Waxing employee said there was only one dollar in the cash register the suspects took.

Last month, several businesses on Main Street in downtown Tucker, just about a mile from the mall, were burglarized.

Businesses affected included Village Burger, Munster Cravings, Corner Cup and Las Colinas.

No arrests have been made in these cases so far.

When asked if there might be a connection between the two incidents, DeKalb County police said they would investigate the case.
