Sharvari shared that Vedaa was a “huge success” for her personally as it was the first time she got the chance to play a dramatic role.

Sharvari is not worried about the box office collection of her latest film Vedaa. The film faces stiff competition at the box office from Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s horror comedy Stree 2 and the Akshay Kumar-directed ensemble comedy Khel Khel Mein. In a new interview with India Today, Sharvari said she is still “a student” when it comes to understanding the business aspect of the industry. What Sharvari said

Talking about Vedaa’s box office collection, the actor said, “Honestly, you can look at it two ways. I think with Vedaa, my heart was in the role and the performance. I really feel that the film had its heart in the right place. Business decisions, whether something works or not, are beyond my scope because this is only my third film in theatres. So that is something I am still learning and I am still trying to understand how that plays out and what is the right thing to do from a business perspective.”

“I have gained a little confidence in my performance”

She added: “I think this role was very difficult and challenging and took me way outside of my comfort zone. So if I get the audience’s approval for it, I’m happy because I took that little leap of faith in my performance. It could have gone a hundred different ways. The fact that it went in the right direction for me is a huge achievement. I’ve never acted in a drama before, which is also very difficult, and this was a huge achievement for me.”

Vedaa has so far shaped 19.25 crore in two weeks at the box office. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the action film follows the journey of a young woman, Vedaa (Sharvari), who dares to challenge the status quo. Her fight for justice is fueled by the unwavering support of a former soldier (John), who becomes her shield and weapon.
