Although she is one of the greatest American Olympians, Simone Biles admitted that her husband Jonathan Owens may have a slight edge on her athletically.
The 27-year-old was supported by her NFL husband Owens, who took a break from the Chicago Bears’ preseason camp to travel to Paris, and was able to add three more gold and one silver medals to her Olympic tally.
The Bears safety made headlines after he was spotted taking notes and recording their scores at Bercy Arena.
And while Biles admitted she has already entered “NFL wife mode,” she claimed his gymnastics skills far surpass hers on the football field.
“I was able to go to a preseason game. It was really fun to be able to support my husband in every way possible,” she began in an interview with Vanessa Richardson.

“I feel like he knows more about gymnastics than I do about football,” she added when asked about her husband’s notes.
“He’s very educated. He’s kind of a nerd when it comes to that kind of stuff. So I just make sure I can find him on the field and then whatever happens happens. Because it’s such a sport that you never know what can happen. So if I can find him, I find him.”
“The support means the world to me,” she continued. “We’ve been through so much together, not just as athletes but as a couple. Having him there because he couldn’t go to Tokyo meant the world to me.”
However, some fans felt Owens may have gone too far with his support after he was criticized for wearing his wife’s gold medal around his neck.
Owens shared a love-struck photo of himself proudly wearing his Olympic gold medal, infuriating his fans.
In a post honoring his wife, he posed next to her with the gold medal around his neck and wrote: “Every time you step on the mat you are witnessing history – congratulations baby on becoming the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic history!!!! Just wow!!!! That’s 8!!!!! I’m so grateful I could be a part of it.”

But despite his heartwarming words, Owens was sharply criticized by his fans online for his “strange” behavior while wearing the medal.
One wrote: “You do realize this isn’t your medal… right?”
Another said: “But why are you wearing it? How strange.”
“I knew he would wear her medal like he won it,” said a third user.
A fourth commented: “That’s Simone’s gold medal you’re holding, not yours, my friend.”
Meanwhile, Biles herself came under fire last week when she made a fashion and soccer faux pas.

In addition to photos of Owens in the Packers uniform, several snapshots and videos featured a large Green Bay logo on the shoulder pad.
Her attempts to make a touching and supportive gesture toward Owens put Biles in the middle of one of the league’s most bitter rivalries, and her fans were less than impressed, with one even claiming she should be “stripped of all her medals” for her fashion faux pas.
