Skyrim free download restores a huge amount of content you've never seen before

Skyrim is a giver

If there is one game that never stops giving something, it is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrimwhich is largely thanks to the always active modding community.

Released in 2011 for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Bethesda Skyrim is the most popular entry in the Elder Scrolls fantasy RPG series, and it shows no signs of its popularity waning anytime soon. That’s a big reason why this beloved game has been ported to every console generation since its original release.

Check out the Skyrim Anniversary Edition Trailer below!

Skyrim “reinvents and revolutionizes the open-world fantasy epic by bringing to life a completely virtual world that you can explore in any way you like,” the game’s description says. “Fight ancient dragons like you’ve never seen them before. As a dragonborn, learn their secrets and harness their power for yourself.”

The modding community is full of talented indie developers who are constantly breathing new life into the games we love, and Bethesda RPGs are no stranger to their wonderful capabilities. One Bethesda game that has perhaps benefitted the most from modders is Skyrim.

One such mod, created by Unorthodogg and available for free download via NexusMods, is called “Skyrim Re-Cut – Restored Locations, NPCs, Items and More.” This mod does exactly what its title promises and restores content that was removed from the game.

What’s particularly handy about this mod is that it consolidates previous Unorthodogg mods into a single, easily accessible location. Oh, and of course, it adds a ton of extra content to this beloved RPG classic. Hopefully it helps keep you busy while you agonizingly wait for the arrival of . The Elder Scrolls VI.

Unfortunately, unlike some mods available with the console version of Skyrimthis is a PC only offer. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
