Sony brings full DualSense Edge customization to PC with new app – Sony Gr (NYSE:SONY)

Sony Group Corp. SONY has released a new accessories app for Windows that allows PC users to customize their PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controllers.

Offering features such as customizing button mappings, stick sensitivity, and trigger dead zones, this app brings much of the PlayStation 5’s controller customization features to the PC platform.

The new accessory app replaces the 2022 DualSense Wireless Controller Firmware Updater app and allows for more than just firmware updates.

Now users can manage various aspects of their DualSense Edge and standard DualSense controllers directly from their PC.

This development is part of Sony’s broader efforts to bring more of its PlayStation ecosystem to PC. Sony has already ported several major titles to PC, including Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and The Last of Us Part I.

Additionally, the company unveiled a PC adapter for its PSVR 2 headset earlier this year, although some technical issues still need to be worked out.

Earlier this year, Sony also released a PlayStation PC overlay that includes access to friends lists, trophies, settings, and PlayStation accounts, although it’s currently only available for Ghost of Tsushima.
