The 155th Travers Stakes race takes place on Saturday at Saratoga Race Course in New York.
The 2024 Travers Stakes, a sort of fourth race of the Triple Crown, billed as the Midsummer Derby, is for three-year-old horses and has the same distance of 1 1/4 miles as the Kentucky Derby.
Thorpedo Anna, an amazing mare, will be competing against the boys. Derby runner-up Sierra Leone is also in the mix, as is Belmont Stakes winner Dornoch and reigning champion two-year-old Fierceness.
