Editor’s Note: NBC Chicago offers a live feed of the evening and primetime speeches every day Monday through Thursday in the player above and on the 24/7 streaming channel NBC 5 Chicago News.

The 2024 Democratic National Convention begins its second day in Chicago on Tuesday, with some of the biggest names on the agenda set to speak.

From the ceremonial roll call to speeches by the Obamas and possible surprise guests, viewers can follow the party convention on Tuesday live and unfiltered from start to finish.

Day 2 follows immediately on the heels of an eventful premiere, which included a surprise appearance by Vice President Kamala Harris, speeches by high-profile figures and an address by President Joe Biden.

Here’s how you can watch it live via streaming, on TV and more:

What time does the DNC start?

While many events will take place throughout the day, the “main program” is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a shift from the planned start time of 6 p.m. Organizers said the change was made to “ensure we stay on schedule.”

Organizers noted that there would likely be further changes to the schedule on Tuesday after Monday’s event required “real-time adjustments” and some speeches and appearances had to be canceled to accommodate Biden’s highly anticipated speech after the delays.

The opening day was delayed by more than an hour and some planned speakers, including musician James Taylor, had to be removed from the program.

Schedule, speakers for the DNC

The full list of speakers and dates for Day 2 of the convention were released Tuesday afternoon. Some of the Democratic Party’s biggest stars will be in attendance. The program includes speeches not only from Obama himself, but also from former First Lady Michelle Obama and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.

Biden will not be in the hall to see his former running mate’s speech, as he left Chicago on Monday after his own speech.

Other speeches expected on Tuesday include: U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator Tammy Duckworth, Senator Bernie Sanders, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Mayor John Giles of Mesa, Arizona, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.

Giles is one of several Republican leaders who will speak at the DNC.

Unlike on Monday, Harris herself is not expected to attend. Harris and vice presidential candidate Tim Walz are both expected to hold a joint rally at the site of the Republican National Convention. However, Walz and Harris both have speeches scheduled for later at the convention.

Primetime DNC coverage will air live from the United Center at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

What are the main topics of the congress?

The convention’s theme is “For the People, For Our Future” and the focus will be on moving the country forward and building on the work of the Biden administration.

According to convention organizers, the theme of Tuesday’s events is “A Bold Vision for America’s Future,” a clear turn to a new generation of Democrats and their leadership.

In unveiling their plans for the week, convention organizers on Tuesday night described it as a way to contrast Harris’ forward-looking strategy with Trump’s less positive view of America’s future.

According to the Harris campaign, Michelle Obama is expected to make the case for why Harris’ experience and values make her a good fit for the office of president. Her husband, Harris campaign officials said, will focus on what Democrats need to do to defeat Trump in the general election.

Monday – “For the people”

Tuesday – “A bold vision for America’s future”

Wednesday – “A fight for our freedoms”

Thursday – “For our future”
