“Stranger Things” star David Harbour lands next film role

David Harbour from “Stranger Things” has landed his next film role.

As Deadline reported, the actor has been cast in the role of actor in “Levon’s Trade,” an action film starring Jason Statham, written by Sylvester Stallone and directed by David Ayer of “Suicide Squad.”

Other new cast members confirmed for the film include Michael Peña (Ant-Man), Jason Flemyng (X-Men: First Class) and Emmett Scanlan (Hollyoaks).

Production of the film has begun in London and the release is scheduled for January 17, 2025.

“Levon’s Trade” is the adaptation of the first of eleven books in the Levon Cade series by author Chuck Dixon.

The synopsis of the first book reads: “Levon Cade has given up his job to work in construction. He just wants to live an anonymous life and be a good father to his daughter. But when a local girl goes missing, he is called upon to return to the skills that made him a mythical figure in the shadowy world of counterterrorism.”

“Levon’s hunt for the missing college student leads him to the center of a vicious criminal conspiracy, and his actions set off a chain reaction that threatens everything he holds dear. It’s time for him to return to his profession. And Levon’s profession is death.”

Statham and Ayer previously starred in the action film “The Beekeeper,” which was released in the UK last month and in the US in January.
