TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Studio Seven6 Yoga will host a free community yoga class and community session at The Venue on Saturday, September 7, from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Studio co-owner and instructor Monica Pettus said the studio will host the free outdoor class at The Venue and all experience levels are welcome.

Pettus said the studio partners with local businesses every month to offer free classes like this one. The goal, she said, is to inspire a broader love of yoga and show how every body can benefit from it.

“I just want them to come to class and feel great and just love being part of the community,” Pettus said. “Community and togetherness are my top priorities.”

Pettus said everyone is welcome, including children, as long as their parents feel they can concentrate during the one-hour class.

After class, participants have the opportunity to socialize at “The Venue,” which has several restaurants and plenty of space for outdoor dining.

The venue is located in 6052 Watermelon Road in Northport.

Pettus said there will be another free community class at North River Therapy on Sept. 21. She said that event will consist of a 45-minute stretching class.

In October, Pettus said the studio will host a special event for breast cancer survivors. The studio is partnering with Bags of Hope and will host the class on Friday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Studio Seven6 Yoga in Northridge Fitness.

You can register here to take part in the free courses or simply come along to the events.

Studio Seven6 Yoga is located at Northridge Fitness, 300 McFarland Blvd. in Northport, and offers classes daily. Click here for more information.
