Sydney Sweeney talks about Euphoria’s time jump in season 3

euphoria Star Sydney Sweeney has commented on her return for the third season of the series as well as the planned time jump.

It was recently confirmed that euphoria Production on the third season will begin in January 2025, three years after the release of the second season.

The post-production process alone will likely push the release date back even further, so a previously announced time jump for upcoming episodes will no longer require the cast of twenty-somethings to pretend to be teenagers.

Sweeny, who plays Cassie Howard in Sam Levinson’s teen drama, spoke in a new interview with Cosmopolitanand said the time jump was a “new process” for her.

“There was a lot of time between season one and season two, but now with the time jump it’s a new process for me,” she said.

“I’m just learning as I go and am open to whatever comes. But I’m also really excited.

“I love Cassie. She’s always such an exciting character to play and I’m really looking forward to what’s going to happen in her life.”

What she is most looking forward to when she returns to the set is the Immaculate The star said that she always feels like she is “coming home to family” when she sees her co-stars and crew again.

“They were the crew and cast that were there at the beginning of my career. We all came from different places but came together and had to deal with so much at once, so it’s really nice to have that core group,” she added.

“They are experiencing similar things to me. It’s nice to have this community.”

Sweeney will appear in the third season alongside other returning cast members such as Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi and Alexa Demie.

euphoria will air on HBO in the US and on NOW and Sky Atlantic in the UK.
