Taral Patel – Spreading False Racism – Wayne Dolcefino reports

FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS (Katy News report) – Award-winning independent journalist Wayne Dolcefino says, “There is nothing more despicable in politics than spreading fake hatred to get votes.”

Unfortunately, investigators allege that Democratic candidate for Fort Bend County Commissioner Taral Patel used fake racism to smear his opponent, incumbent Commissioner Andy Meyers. Hundreds of pages of evidence also link Patel to dirty tricks against people in his own party, such as Judge Surendran K. Pattel, Police Officer Nabil Shike and his opponent in the primary, Abrahim Javed.

Patel’s actions prompted Fort Bend County’s 4th District Democratic Supervisor of Elections Dexter McCoy to call on Patel to withdraw from the race, but he stands alone in the Democratic Party in doing so. McCoy’s party has embraced Patel and continues to support his efforts to oust Meyers from office. It appears to have no qualms about his tactics, which Meyers said have frightened many immigrants who believed the posts were genuine.

In the following report, Dolcefino confronts Patel and his former boss, District Judge KP George, who has made similar allegations of racism during his campaigns, some of which were made when Patel worked for him. Patel was once George’s chief of staff.

In this story, Dolcefino summarizes hundreds of pages of evidence against Patel in a case that could send Patel to prison, and Dolcefino wonders if George used the same dishonest tactics in his campaigns.
