Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seem irrevocably in love, but there’s one thing the global pop star wanted to change. At least according to Kelce’s teammate Patrick Mahomes. In a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback revealed that Kelce – who usually sports a buzzcut or a short fade – has Swift to thank for his new, longer hairstyle.
“I was trying to get him to grow his hair longer and suddenly Taylor makes him do it,” he joked, going on the offensive.

Although Swift encouraged her boyfriend to grow his hair, his hairdresser Patrick Regan once told Fox News that the Grammy winner was also a fan of the short look.
“Taylor loves the haircut,” Regan said. “She has watched me cut my hair several times and always compliments me afterward.”
The football star also recently grew a mustache again, a throwback to the beard he had when he and Swift first started dating. Kelce himself even alluded to Swift being impressed by the look.
“I’ll tell you, that mustache and that No. 87 jersey were pretty iconic for a while,” Kelce said during a press conference in October 2023. “I had it when I first met Taylor.”

Kelce spent his summer jetting around the world to see Swift’s Eras Tour, traveling to Paris, Ireland, Germany and Amsterdam. He even made a surprise appearance at one of her London shows when he caught her during the The “Tortured Poets” section part of the show. While the tight end prepares for the 2024 NFL season, Swift is back in London for the second part of her shows at Wembley Stadium.
