Taylor Swift’s US fans flock to Europe to get cheaper tickets for Eras concerts

American fans of Taylor Swift have benefited from cheaper ticket prices for the European leg of her record-breaking Eras tour.

The London Times reported that at the 40,000-seat Defense Arena in Paris, where Swift recently performed, up to 9,000 of the seats were filled with American fans, who considered the overseas trip a bargain compared to ticket prices at home, even when factoring in the cost of local transportation and accommodation.

The newspaper reports that ticket prices for Swift’s concerts were about half of those in the US. Hotels there are also cheaper than in most US cities. And while American fans can pay up to $10,000 for the best seats on resale sites, French law prohibits the resale of tickets to cultural or sporting events, so prices remain low.
