The social media giant plans to let users know about things directly to avoid confusion. “When they impact engagement or share, we also know that people may think the issues are only happening to them based on their posts. This lack of clarity can be frustrating, which is why we want to make it easier to understand what’s going on directly from us,” Instagram wrote on its blog.
