The Google Tasks app has just been completely redesigned

The Google Tasks app has received a major update and a new design. This update is being rolled out to users and will be available on your Android phone soon.

First introduced in June, the update offers an improved user experience by replacing the current list format for each task with cards. The bottom bar has been removed; instead, there is a floating action button. In addition, the three-dot overflow menu is now accessible from any card. The menu is located next to the app’s sorting options.

As Android Police notes, the cards are slightly darker than the app’s background, which is especially noticeable in dark mode. Still, if you’re in a hurry to get the update, you can download the latest Tasks version via APKMirror.

The new Google Tasks app for Android looks much cleaner and hopefully the update will be available to all users soon. It seems like the update is being implemented server-side, so no app update from Google Play is required. You can also try force closing and reopening the app to speed up the update process, but this method was unsuccessful for us.

Similar to other apps from companies like Apple, Google Tasks makes it easy to create tasks, add details, set due dates, and organize them into lists. And even better, you can sync this information across all your devices, including mobile and desktop.

Google Tasks is also seamlessly integrated with other Google apps like Gmail and Calendar, providing a comprehensive view of your day and week.
