The influence of Drake’s attendance on Kendrick Lamar led to his exclusion from the White Party by Michael Rubin

Drake’s attendance at Michael Rubin’s annual all-white party prompted the owner of Fanatics to confirm that he did not allow DJs to play Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” music video.

During his appearance on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (August 14), Rubin was asked about his annual celebrations and revealed that he reportedly declined to play Drake’s music, which was a topic of conversation.

Rubin claimed he was not influenced by the Toronto superstar and did not demand the move. He also mentioned that he hosted a BBQ before the all-white party and had RapCaviar play before his arrival.

Michael Rubin was asked by DJ Envy about the viral photos of Drake looking exhausted at the party, with Rubin clarifying the rumors and emphasizing the importance of toughness and robustness.

Rubin admitted that he sleeps with his head down and knows that success comes with hate. He added: “When you put out one of those incredible tracks and people call you Drake, well, Drake Drake. That’s how you feel.”

The songs have been played over 11 million times on Spotify in the last five days, and Apple Music’s “It’s Up” featuring Thugger and Savage reached No. 6 on the Global Top 100 chart, No. 4 on the Canadian Top 100 chart, and No. 1 on the regional charts for New York, Miami, Houston, and Washington, DC.
