Space Marines 2 is out on September 9th, 2024, and everything that has been revealed about it so far is almost certain to appeal to long-time fans. Space Marines will face off against Tyranids and the Order of Chaos in the game.
One feature of the Tyranids is their collective consciousness, the so-called hive mind. Based on this, a fan asked a legitimate question on the game’s subreddit about a possible game mechanic. If implemented well, the mechanic would be incredibly faithful to the lore.

Space Marines 2 the most elite and vengeful warriors under the Emperor of Mankind will face off against hostile bioforms. It is confirmed that eight different Tyranid species will be coming to the video game, and each of them sounds scary enough to overwhelm even Captain Titus.
Different Terminid species/bioforms fulfill different roles. Hormagaunts, for example, are excellent in close combat and it is easy to kill a few of them. However, when they appear in large numbers, they can cause enormous problems.
While Termagants aren’t the toughest, they can attack Space Marines from afar. In order to control multiple creatures and make them share the same collective consciousness, each horde of enemies must have a few species of Tyranid that act as hive mind hubs.
