One game you can try now on Xbox Game Pass is Mafia: Definitive Editiona remake of the original 2002 PC classic. This remake features stunning new graphics, new voice acting, soundtrack, missions, gameplay improvements, and much more.

“Remade from the ground up, rise through the ranks of the Mafia during the Prohibition era of organized crime. After a run-in with the Mafia, taxi driver Tommy Angelo is thrust into a deadly underworld. Tommy is initially uncomfortable with joining the Salieri crime family, but he soon finds that the rewards are too great to ignore,” the remake’s description reads.

Mafia: Definitive Edition has scored a decent but respectable 78 on the aggregate website Metacritic, but in my opinion it’s a game that deserves the mid to high 80s, as these reviews indicate.

“Hangar 13 has retouched every single aspect of the original mafiaexpand the story, refine the gameplay, and package it with an absolutely phenomenal new look and sound that takes it to a whole new and modern level. It’s nice to be part of the family again,” wrote GamingTrend.

“All the time, the first mafia was the best of the trio. It only took a phenomenal effort from Hangar 13 to do it justice with Mafia: Definitive Edition,” said Destructoid. “This feels like the rare necessary remake that improves on the original and builds upon it. It really is an offer you can’t refuse.”

Mafia: Definitive Edition is available now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, and of course, available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no additional cost.
