A new chapter in the Lord of the Rings saga begins today when the second season of Rings Of Power hits Amazon Prime. The first three episodes of the new season should be available to stream by the time you read this. And if the show has the desired effect and gets you back in the Lord of the Rings mood, Best Buy is offering a Little People Collector Set featuring four characters from the books and movies for much less than the usual price.
Half price, as the Collector Set is currently on sale for $12.49, down from $24.99. No, the set isn’t from Rings Of Power, but it does have at least one figure in it that you’ll see again in season two. The set on sale is the Black Gate set from Fisher Price and includes Saruman, Gollum, the Uruk-Hai leader Lurtz, and the Dark Lord of Rings Of Power, Sauron.
Okay, the Little People version of Sauron doesn’t look quite like the very early version of the character confirmed as the Dark Lord at the end of season one. He could don his more familiar armor in season two, though, we’ll have to wait and see. While it’s a lot less intimidating when you turn everything into one of Fishe Price’s Little People, the figure is unmistakably Sauron. Although all four characters have received cute, toy-like makeovers, any Lord of the Rings fan will know exactly who they’re looking at when they see the set.

If you’re not familiar with Little People and are looking for Lord of the Rings-themed merchandise, the collectibles are made by Fisher Price. Yes, that’s the Mattel-owned company that makes toys for very young children. There’s no reason your little ones can’t play with your Lord of the Rings set, but Little People is aimed more at older fans looking for a new way to celebrate their favorite shows and movies.
