This print is special because it’s from the card’s very first debut in the Magic Ruler set. This secret rarity is so old that you’d be lucky to own a version of the card in near-mint condition.

As the name suggests, this card is used as an alternative way to get a Blue-Eyes White Dragon onto the field without Tributing two monsters.

Simply reveal the original version of Blue-Eyes and Alternate Blue-Eyes can Special Summon itself from your hand to the field. It can also destroy a monster once per turn at the cost of its Attack.

Unlike the other illustrations, this version of the card features the blue-eyed white dragon flying through space. If you happened to get your hands on this card when Shonen Jump was still in print and kept it in good condition, then congratulations on owning a piece of Yu-Gi-Oh! history.

If you’re a fan of Seto Kaiba, the Ultimate Kaiba Set is a must-have. True to Kaiba’s first appearance, where he flashes powerful monsters to trick Yugi’s grandfather into selling his copy, the Ultimate Kaiba Set contains 61 ultra-rare cards, including three copies of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

In the American edition, fans received an additional Blue-Eyes printed as a secret quarter-century rarity. This fourth Blue-Eyes also features the alternate image rather than the one from the anime.

3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon (Extremely Rare in Pharaoh Style) Market Price: $500.00

Ultra Pharaoh’s rare cards are different from the normal Secret Rare versions. The most noticeable difference is the font, which now looks gold and no longer has the prism style of the Secret Rares.


Although this version of the card has the less popular art style, its rarity still causes its price to rise simply because its surface is sprinkled with hieroglyphs. This card is available in the Magnificent Maven’s set released for the 2022 holiday season.

One promo card that is quite rare is the Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon. What makes this card special is the unique blue card text as its name. The alternate color card text can be found on a few cards throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG.


While some of these special-colored cards are more valuable than others, Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon was only available during the Remote Duel Promo Card Giveaway campaign. This giveaway included 1,040 copies distributed across North America, Latin America, and Europe.
