The Ohio State vs. Oregon football game airs at prime time on NBC

The Ohio State football program knows a few game schedules early in the year. They know they open the season on August 31st against Akron at 3:30 p.m. on CBS. They also know they face Western Michigan in Week 2 at 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network. Of course, the game is on FOX at noon.

Most of the other Big Ten games have not been announced yet. The Big Ten likes to wait until the last second to decide the time and network that games will be played on. Thanks to FOX’s Joel Klatt, we know the time and network of the most difficult game on the Buckeyes’ schedule.

According to Klatt, the Ohio State Buckeyes will face Oregon in prime time on NBC, meaning the game will likely take place on October 12th at 7:30 p.m. There are a lot of great matchups in college football that day, so this game will be the last one.

Oregon is by far the toughest opponent the Buckeyes have faced this season. They have an electric offense with some really good players. They can score points in a short amount of time. Add to that the fact that the game is on the road and at night, and Ohio State has its hands full.

Ohio State has the best defense in the country, so they should be able to keep up with the Ducks offense. I would be surprised if this game ended in some sort of shootout. If that’s the case, Ohio State’s offense had better be ready at that point. They have five games to prepare for this showdown.

As soon as we learn more about what network and time the Buckeyes will play more games on, we’ll let you know. This news means this matchup against Oregon just got more difficult.
