The PlayStation 5 Pro’s outrageous price has leaked, and you won’t like it

Curiosity about the price of the PlayStation 5 Pro has been high since we first heard about the release of the improved PS5.

However, as the possible release date draws ever closer, price leaks are increasingly appearing online.

Spoiler alert: This is not a leak you will like.

We were initially excited about the PlayStation 5 Pro, not least because several sources hinted that it would launch later this year.

The new piece of hardware promises a “huge leap” in capabilities, which has definitely whetted the appetite of many potential buyers.

Unfortunately, the joy of a new Sony console is currently overshadowed by the devastating realization that it will cost a lot.

Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb has reportedly hinted that the PS5 Pro will have a hefty price tag of $600.

Worse still, it is not impossible that the final price will be closer to $700.

Given the improvements that the new console is supposed to offer, many had expected a significant price increase.

Still, this price window is probably much larger than some expected.

As if that wasn’t daunting enough for those looking to upgrade their tech, the latest PS6 leak also suggests significantly higher costs. It seems like we should have started saving up months ago.

Although Grubb has been considered a reliable source in the past, we don’t have to take Sony’s estimates too seriously since there was no indication of a release timeline or cost.

While we advise caution, the PS5 Pro will undoubtedly cost more than our beloved PS5s.

If you don’t look to the future but focus on the present, you can grab free PlayStation Store credit.

But you have to be quick – there is less than a week left to claim it.
