The Repair Shop fans burst into tears and scream “I’m at my wits’ end” at the emotional revelation, which has been dubbed the “best TV moment of the year.”

Viewers of The Repair Shop were moved to tears on Wednesday as 12-year-old Colin was emotionally reunited with his beloved cat toy Jess.

Colin was born with several serious health problems and endured countless hospital visits throughout his life, but always found comfort in his beloved, cuddly cat, Jess.

Jess had seen better days, however. The toy had been by Colin’s side through every challenge and had his own “battle scars,” including tracheotomy and stoma incisions that reflected Colin’s own medical experiences.

Since Colin’s beloved toy was in dire need of repair, his adoptive family turned to the experts at The Repair Shop to have it restored.

Specialists Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell took on the task of giving Jess a much-needed makeover.

What followed exceeded all expectations. When Colin saw that Jess was back to normal, he burst into tears of joy and sobbed while holding the cat tightly to his chest.

His reaction moved everyone in the room to tears, and viewers across the country were equally moved.

X, formerly known as Twitter, was flooded with sweet messages from fans who couldn’t contain their emotions.

One viewer wrote: “It’s not often that I get emotional while watching TV, but tonight it was really touching to see the joy of the little boy in the repair shop when he got his toy Jess back.”

“Oh God bless him ❤️ the smallest things can mean so much to us. What an emotional moment that was #therepairshop”

“I’m not one to watch The Repair Shop with the whole family and CRY – dude I can’t, they fix stuffed animals and other items and they all have a story and when they return the things restored it’s so emotional, I can’t handle it, man it’s so sweet.”

“I am devastated. God bless Colin. ❤️ #TheRepairShop”

“The repair shop is exactly what you need, isn’t it? There are still some brilliant people there.”

However, Jess was in desperate need of repair, so Colin's adoptive family turned to the experts at The Repair Shop to restore his beloved toy.

Previously, fans of The Repair Shop were concerned earlier this month because a popular star was missing from the cast.

A post on the BBC show’s Instagram at the time announced that The Repair Shop would return with a new season this month, promising: “More repairs. More stories. More memories restored.”

Presenter Jay Blades (54) could be seen beaming next to a number of regular experts, but watch specialist Steve Fletcher (62) was missing from the picture.
