The “Repair Shop” star says goodbye to his co-stars in an emotional tribute

Richard Talman, the beloved expert from The Repair Shop, has said an emotional goodbye to his team as he wraps up filming on the show’s tenth season. He posted a behind-the-scenes video of the production team on Instagram, expressing his appreciation for the season and the amazing team he is a part of.

His caption read: “Well that’s the end of filming season 10 for me! What a wonderful season with some amazing people I get to call my workmates. You all know the experts so I wanted to showcase the incredible production team that makes the show possible.” He concluded: “Thank you for letting me be a part of it. It’s a wrap, as they say!”

The post garnered warm reactions from Richard’s colleagues and fans alike, with co-star Julian Wallis writing: “Love you bro. See you next year.” One fan commented: “Everyone involved in The Repair Shop is truly incredible. So much love for everyone involved in this amazing show,” as reported by the Express, Gloucestershire Live reports.

Another shared: “Richard thank you for sharing this, these guys are the unsung heroes.” “Wow! All these guys,” exclaimed another. Another admirer complimented: “Fantastic team, great to see what everyone else looks like, keep up the amazing work on this show.”

Away from the BBC series, Richard is a successful jeweller who began his career in September 1995 after completing his training at the Sir John Cass Faculty of Arts in Whitechapel, east London. He honed his skills on a City and Guilds diamond setting course before starting as an apprentice to a goldsmith in Hatton Garden in May 1996.

In June 2002 he completed his apprenticeship at the Goldsmiths’ Company and was made an honorary citizen.

The expert shared a funny anecdote about how he almost missed his chance to be part of The Repair Shop. In a chat with OK!, Richard recently revealed: “There was a message on my landline at the workshop saying: ‘I’m a researcher for a show called The Repair Shop and we were wondering if you would be interested in coming along and fixing some gems on TV.'”

He admitted: “I wanted to press delete because I assumed it was a prank, but my wife googled the phone number and it came up as a production company, so I called her back!”

The expert appears on the show alongside stars such as Jay Blades, Kirsten Ramsay, Suzie Fletcher, Kirsten Ramsay and others.
