Visitors to the Hub City Car Show in downtown Centralia on Saturday, August 24 will also have the opportunity to meet and get an autograph from a member of the 2014 Super Bowl XLVIII winning Seattle Seahawks.

Keiper’s Cards owner Dan Keiper will host a card show from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Former Seahawks defensive tackle Joseph “Red” Bryant will be there from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

“I texted Red and he’s really excited to meet all the fans in the area,” Keiper said.

According to Keiper, Bryant plans to bring his Super Bowl ring.

The card show will take place where Keiper’s Cards is located in the Tower Avenue Mall at 320 N. Tower Ave.

Originally from Jasper, Texas, Bryant was a defensive tackle who played at Texas A&M before being drafted by the Seahawks in 2008.

In the 2011 season, he blocked four kicks, breaking the Seahawks’ single-season record, and became his team’s captain in the 2012/13 season.

That season, his performance helped the Seahawks become the NFL’s best defense. He and the team defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII and won the Seahawks’ first and only Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

He left Seattle after that season, but played two more years in the NFL, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals.

For those who want Bryant’s autograph but can’t make it to the card show, Keiper is offering autographs by mail. You can bring the cards in advance for $60 plus $10 for a dedication. Deadline is Monday, August 19.

Fans who make it to the August 24 show can purchase an autograph in advance at Keiper’s Cards for $45 or purchase one the day of the show for $50.

“In-house inscriptions cost $5 each,” Keiper added.

Vendor spaces are also available at the show for $25.

He will have some cards and 8×10 photos of Bryant available for purchase for autographs, but fans are welcome to bring whatever they would like to have signed.

Towards the end of the card show (starting at 6 p.m.), Keiper will also host a card swap evening where local collectors are invited to bring their valuable cards and swap them with other collectors.

Keiper’s Cards is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
