These 12 things you should no longer do in Texas stores

“Rude!” (Hey, we’re guilty of some of those things too.) Here are 12 not-so-nice things some Texans should avoid doing while shopping at our grocery stores.

Honestly, I find that most people in Longview and Tyler, Texas, are quite courteous in the public places we share. At the same time, some seemed to not get the “memo” about how to treat other people when grocery shopping, for example.

I remember watching someone deal with some of these rude behaviors on several occasions. When I was a teenager and worked at Target, you wouldn’t believe the interactions I experienced as I tried to peacefully get people to checkout and send them on their way.

Hey, we all have days that are hard for us and some of them are easy to forget. These are good memories for all of us.

There are some behaviors that many of us have seen before that immediately spring to mind. Brazenly cutting in is a big no-no. That should go without saying. Insulting people seems pretty obvious, but I’ve seen it happen anyway. God help anyone who grabs the last bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos when THOSE people are around.

At the same time, there are some less obvious social faux pas that some people either do not notice or even worseknow that they shouldn’t get involved in it, but decide to do it anyway.

We came across a helpful list in Readers’ Digest detailing some of the rude behavior we see even here in this friendly state.

I’m curious how many of these you’ve seen while shopping here in Texas. Are there any other rude behaviors you’d like to add to this list? Let me know at [email protected].
