These are the most underrated things about the capital region

Living in the Albany area, we take many things for granted. Which of these things are undervalued?

People who live in the Capital Region will tell you all day long about all the things they think are wrong here. If you look closely, despite all the negativity, you will find residents who love living here and are quick to point out things that are great about this area. I happen to be one of those people.

I tend to always see the glass as half full, which I’m sure some people find annoying. Too bad. I’m a positive guy and that’s what you’re going to get.

I personally believe the Capital Region is a very underrated culinary region. Look around and you will find food from all walks of life from all over the world. Although there are a lot of chains in places like Wolf Road and Clifton Park, there are so many great local restaurants that showcase what we have to offer.

We’ve received some great feedback from you on Facebook about this topic. Here are a few I’d like to highlight.

“The architecture in Albany is absolutely world class and breathtaking. You could spend many days touring Albany and admiring the old-fashioned, gothic architecture of the downtown area and even the residential buildings.” – Dennis

“Yaddow Gardens in Saratoga Springs, NY” – Derek

“The history we have here makes people focus more on the negative aspects of the capital region and overlook what we have.” – Meranda

Dan from Troy called and gave us his answer and Mike Karolyi also told us what he thinks is undervalued in our area.
